Mary
Samuels a Long Island, N.Y. artist who works primarily in watercolor
and acrylic. Though she is largely self-taught, she has studied
with a number of well-known artists and has taken many art courses
and workshops.
Her style is impressionist. The beauty of nature is her inspiration
to paint and as she states, "My goal is not to replicate nature
so much, as to convey a feeling of joy and hope to the viewer."
Mary's paintings have been included in many prestigious shows and
exhibits. She has had a number of one-woman shows and has been the
subject of many newspaper articles, most notably "The New York
Times." Her work is in many private and corporate collections
throughout the United States, Australia and Ireland.
Mary maintains a studio in her hometown of Brookhaven NY, where
she shows and offers work for sale. She also welcomes inquiries
from other gallery owners and interior designers.
